Brought Forward: Total of the corresponding column on the previous page shown at the top of the column on the new page.

Cost and Freight (C&F): Term of sale signifying that the price invoiced or quoted by a seller for a shipment does not include insurance charges, but includes all expenses up to a named port of destination. In comparison, carriage paid to (CPT) terms include all transport charges (but not insurance) up to a named place (usually the buyer's warehouse) of destination.

Cargo: Cargo refers to goods carried by a large vehicle, like a plane, ship, train, or truck. It's carrying cargo. Cargo originates from the Latin word carricare which means "to load on a cart, or wagon." Cargo can be loaded on a cart, but it's usually loaded on something much bigger.

Carried Down: The balance of an account at the end of an accounting period, which will be taken forward to become the balance at the beginning of a new period.

Carried Forward: Bookkeeping term for the total of a column on the previous page that will be the first (starting) figure for the corresponding column on the next page.
