Turabaz Khan was a notable Afghan National Army General. He was born in Kabul to a Pashtun family.He was educated at a Military Schoolin Kabul.He also served an associate to the Sardar Mohammad Hashim Khan Mohammed Zahir Shah’s uncle and Afghanistan’s Royal Prime Minister in 1929.He also served as Kabul’s Police Commander and Chief of Security until his retirement in 1948. He died in 1981 in Kabul.

Abdul Hai Habibi was a prominent Afghan historian for much of his lifetime as well as a member of the National Assembly of Afghanistan during the reign of King Zahir Shah. A Pashtun nationalist from Kandahar, Afghanistan, he began as a young teacher who made his way up to become a writer, scholar, politician and Dean of Faculty of Literature at Kabul University. He is the author of over 100 books but is best known for editing Pata Khazana, an "old" Pashto language manuscript that he claimed to have "discovered" in 1944; the academic community, however, does not acknowledge the manuscript as genuine.

Masihullah Barakzai is an Afghan footballer who currently plays for Afghan Premier F.C from U.S.A. He also played for Saremyesht F.C at Kabul Premier League Afghanistan year 2009 to 2012.He played for U-21 national team as defensive Midfielder for South Asian Games at Bangladesh year 2010 with 5 official caps against India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives and Bangladesh and then selected for senior Afghanistan national football team He has 7 official caps, against Tajikistan, Bhutan and Nepal, Palestine, India and the one unofficial, as national team played against Tajikistan u-23 team in second match.

Mawlawi Jalaluddin Haqqani is the leader of the Haqqani network, a insurgent group fighting in guerilla warfare initially against US-led NATO forces, and the present government of Afghanistan they support. He distinguished himself as an American-sponsored insurgent fighter in the 1980s during the Soviet war in Afghanistan, including Operation Magistral. By 2004, he was directing pro-Taliban militants to launch a holy war in Afghanistan and hit government targets inside Pakistan. Steve Coll, author of Ghost Wars, claims that Haqqani introduced suicide bombing in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region
