Viladomat Museum

Inside the Escaldes-Engordany Arts Centre (CAEE) is the Viladomat Museum, dedicated to the works of Catalan sculptor Josep Viladomat. His sculptures can be seen across the country, such as the one outside the Casa de la Vall (below), and the museum houses around 140 of the artist’s sculptures, which often depict human figures moving or dancing.

Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley

Andorra's only UNESCO World Heritage Site, the beautiful Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley - despite being only 42 square kilometers - occupies nearly 10 percent of the country's total area ... and a special place as the "spiritual heart" of this tiny nation. Looking like something out of a picture book (yes, it's that attractive and unspoiled), this remote glacial valley is a refuge for a variety of endangered and rare species of wildlife, not to mention spectacular vistas over mountain pastures, rugged crags, and thickly-forested valleys

Casa de la Vall is the ancient seat of the General Council: Andorra's parliament. The building is emblematic for its historical significance. In 1419, an inter-parochial organization known as the Land Council was ratified. This was subsequently to become the General Council of theValleys of Andorra.The house was built in 1580 by the Busquets family. It was acquiredin 1702 by the General Council.
